Eroding Freedom

In western countries it seems that everyday we are gradually losing more and more freedom. To understand what a lack of freedom looks like, you can look at how Russia has changed between the turn of the millenium and now. For the most stark example you can look at North Korea.

In Russia you can be beaten and put in prison for protesting against the government. In Korea you can be executed for it. Russia have blatently murdered people that threaten their regime. We need to be careful not to allow too much bureaucracy to take away all of what little remains of our freedom.
